WELCOME TO SAINT PHILIPS STUDENTS
We love having students as part of Saint Philips Chapel Street and are passionate to see the students of Salford and Manchester thrive at university and beyond. We look forward to meeting you and hope you find a home from home here.
Our students are involved in all areas of church life and join in with Sunday services, serving on team and church wide events. Scroll down for our regular student activities and events coming up soon.
TRYING US FOR THE FIRST TIME?
Whether you’ve just moved to the city, or are trying church for the first time – you are so welcome here. We’d love to hear from you, arrange to meet before the service if you’d like, and answer any questions you may have.
Due to Covid-19, we are asking people to register before coming to Sunday worship in person. Head over the calendar to register for a seat.
We livestream 10:45 worship on YouTube, so tune in there if you can’t make it across.
STUDENT PRAYER BREAKFAST
Every Tuesday morning (term time), 7:45-8:30am we meet together at church for breakfast and focus praying for each other, our community and our campuses in Manchester and Salford. For COVID reasons we are not meeting currently, but continue to pray and we will start again once restrictions allow us to. The whole church gathers to pray on Monday evenings, and we’d encourage you to come along in-person or on zoom then.
STUDENT LIVING ROOM
Every Wednesday during term, Saint Philips is transformed into a coffee shop vibe and opens up to students from across the city from 3-6:00pm. There’s hot drinks, games, snacks, WiFi, study tables, and loads of space to hang out with friends. And it’s all free.
Currently for COVID reasons student living room will not be running but we will start to run again once restrictions allow us to.
(Please note, if you are using a pop up blocker, you may need to give exemption for this site in order to see the video above)
This is where we hang out, get to know each other, pray, and explore faith deeper. We hope you find that connect groups are a great place to belong, where you can grow in your faith and build in new tools to put it into practice.
We current meet on zoom at 8pm, signup to get the link. We will be back in person when safe to do so!

Encounter is a worship and prayer based night, with the main focus of spending time resting in the presence of God. This is a chance for us to put aside everything and put all our attention to Him.
We will be starting at 8pm on the 19th November and is open to all students!
We can’t wait to worship with you!
