Chapel Street Music is the home for musical expressions of worship from Saint Philips Chapel Street
Beginning in 2022 they have been writing as a way of worshiping the King of Kings and reflecting a creative Father in their context. Many of the songs are centred around specific verses or prophetic words that Saint Philips Chapel Street has been receiving, around what it looks like to be on fire for Jesus and commissioned to see His kingdom come in our life-times.
Chapel Street Music are a wide collection of musicians and songwriters; so vary in musical style, personnel and background. Their unifying factor is a deep desire to see God glorified.

Coming Soon
‘Coming Soon’ was written whilst the church was going through a series focusing on the fall, Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and the final renewal of all creation with His second coming. As a team we found ourselves praying for the return of Jesus and longing for that final establishment of glory on earth.

Oh Sleeper
Oh Sleeper is a simple song with three parts. The first is a call to be woken up to what the spirit is doing in our churches, nation and world. The second is an excerpt from Ephesians 5 where God speaks over his people telling them to wake from the dead into the light of Christ. The last part is about how we respond to that as Christians, taking that light we have been filled with out into the world.

Live Sessions Vol 1
Live sessions is a live recorded EP that was released as a series on the Saint Philips Chapel Street youtube channel in 2022. The concept was to create a resource of some of the songs that were beginning to be sung in our church gatherings. In 2023 they were re-worked for streaming platform release and are intended for easy access to the songs we use on a Sunday to worship.
Live For Glory
Live for Glory is a song that has two purposes, one as a prayer for freedom and correction to come from our creator God and secondly to remind ourselves of His renewal happening in us and the love that is poured out when He renews.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ
Birds Of The Field
Birds of The Field is a reflective song, based on Matthew 6, which focuses on Jesus saying we don't need to worry about the future, as God will always provide what we need. It blends folk and alternative styles to reflect both the truth of God’s provision, and how hard it can be at times to fully rely on it.

Live Sessions Vol 2
Live sessions is a live recorded EP that was released as a series on the Saint Philips Chapel Street youtube channel in 2023. The concept was to create a resource of some of the songs that been sung in our church gatherings for a while but had never been released in a way that linked them to Chapel Street Music. The EP consists of 2 songs written by Paddy Heaton and 1 written by James Nathanael. They are our way of helping our congregation learn to worship with homegrown songs and hope they are a blessing to other churches and movements too!
TEACH ME TO WORSHIP
Teach Me To Worship is a song by James Nathanael Harrison that was previously self released in 2020. The whole song is about longing to worship God in the way that we see him worshiped throughout The Bible whether that is like Job as he chose to worship in the midst of suffering or like David dancing through the streets. Or with the angels in Revelation who praise Him eternally.

Saint Philips Chapel Street is on St Philip's Place, Manchester. It’s just off Chapel Street, the A6, five minutes walk from Salford University and Salford Central station, ten minutes' walk from Spinningfields and Deansgate. We are only a 15min bus ride from Manchester Uni.

Saint Philips is located 0.7 miles from Salford Crescent Railway Station and 0.4 miles from Salford Central Railway Station.
Manchester Victoria Railway Station is 1 mile from Saint Philips, buses that run between here and Saint Philips include 8, 67 and 100.
Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station is 1.6 miles from Saint Philips, buses between Piccadilly Gardens (500m from Piccadilly Railway Station) and Saint Philips include 34, 36, 37, 38, V1, V2 and X34.
SHUTTLE
A free bus shuttle operates around Manchester’s main shopping areas and railway stations (including Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria), the closest stop to Saint Philips is 0.7 miles away at John Ryland’s Library.

On-street parking is available on various roads around the church, usually giving 2 hours free (and no limit after 6pm). When parking please be considerate of our neighbours.
There are a number of local car parks available.The nearest is to the rear of Adelphi House on Adelphi Street. Also, NCP New Bailey is also only a short walk.
