Bags of Hope is a simple but powerful initiative designed to bring hope to Manchester, Salford, and beyond. Each bag contains essential items that make a practical difference in someone’s life. Bags of Hope are distributed to:
Asylum seekers
Vulnerable women
People experiencing homelessness
Residents in deprived local communities
Through this program, we not only provide material support but also convey care, dignity, and encouragement to those who often feel overlooked.
You can sponsor a bag financially through our service provider, either as a one-off or a regular gift. As a guide, one Bag of Hope costs around £12.
Alternatively, you can collect items from our shopping lists and bring them to Saint Philips Chapel Street, where they will be distributed directly to those in need, either personally or via our partner charities.
If you know an individual in need, or an organisation that would like to receive our bags, contact us through the following methods.
“When you’re down and you’ve not got much it cheers you up when you get a nice deodorant; cause not a lot of people have time for people that are homeless or working on the street so it was nice that people actually cared.”
